Dear guests,

 In recent years, we have been asked numerous times to change the name of the Hotel Moskva. We took every suggestion seriously, discussed it, but we did not want to change the 70-year-old history of the hotel. We were of the opinion that if the name was not changed in the 1990, this purely political decision was irelevant. Majority of the current citizens in Zlín no longer even remember the hotel under a different name, on the other hand we hear stories of people who trained “at Moskva”, met their wife “at Moskva” and so on. We did not want to take the stories away from these people and change something that has been a part of Zlín for 70 years.

 However, we take the current situation very seriously. Therefore we do not want the hotel’s name to be associated with this inexcusable aggression, which is completely unacceptable to us and for modern society as a whole. We have decided to take the steps and give Hotel Moskva a new name.

 We would like to thank all of those who have understood our decision to date, who saw Moskva as a building with great history, regardless of the name. We would like to believe that we will continue to be a historical icon for you.

  Whether our name is Moskva or Zlín, we value your loyalty. We would like to wish you a pleasant stay.
